JVManager - Manual for Affiliates

Campaigns

Here is how "Campaigns" work:

Suppose you want to send an ad to the TurboZine newsletter and want to measure the effectiveness of the ad in terms of clicks & sales for the PACKAGE you promote - say for TurboCDs.

How to create a Campaign

  • Click "Campaigns" from the navigation menu.
  • Click the 'Create' button.
  • Name the campaign as you want. For example, if you want to send an ad to TurboZine, name it "turbozine" without the quotes.
  • Check 'Active' for activating the campaign.
  • Click 'Add'

That's it.

Now your PERSONALIZED affiliate links can be correlated to the 'turbozine' campaign you just created. All you have to do is to click "Get links", select the campaign 'turbozine' from the drop-down menu for the product you want to promote and click the 'get' link. ALL of your PERSONALIZED links will send data to the 'turbozine' campaign. Powerful eh? ;)

Another example: Suppose you are a Warrior and want to test the effectiveness of the add in your signature. Create a campaign 'warriors', then click "Get links", select the campaign 'warriors' from the drop-down menu for the product you want to promote and click the 'get' link. ALL of your PERSONALIZED links will send data to the 'warrior' campaign.

It is recommended to create 1 unique campaign for each link you want to use. However you can MIX the data sent to campaigns by using THE SAME campaign through multiple products. For example, if you want to use 1 campaign for all links sent to newsletters, you can create a campaign 'newsletters,' then 'get' your links with the 'newsletters' campaign for Product A, get your links with the 'newsletters' campaign for Product B, etc.

How to delete a Campaign

Click on the checkbox on the left of the campaign you want to delete, select "Delete" from the "Select action..." drop down menu and click "Apply/Save" to save the change. DO NOT - again: DO NOT - check the checkbox on the left of the ID title on the top UNLESS you want to delete ALL the campaigns. Example: if you check the checkbox on the left of the ID title and select "Delete" from the "Select action..." drop down menu and then 'Apply/Save,' then ALL of campaigns will be deleted; NOT ONLY the campaigns you see, but ALL the campaigns - if many pages of campaigns are listed.

ATTENTION

JVManager is used for creating Packages. A PACKAGE can include either 1 product with -say- different payment options (flat order/ installments, etc.) and/or also many different products. CAMPAIGNS COUNT ORDERS FOR PACKAGES. That is: the RATIO for each campaign counts clicks and sales for PACKAGES no matter how many products will be purchased through the package. So if a user clicks your link/campaign and orders 1 product through a Package then the campaign will show 1 click & 1 order. Or if the user clicks your link/campaign and orders -say- 3 products through a Package then again the campaign will show 1 click & 1 order. However, you can see the PRODUCTS that have been ordered when clicking "Your commissions."
